Presentation at OSDU F2F Forum
Overview: Digital Twins require the semantically consistent integration of real-time and historical data related to different aspects of the domain and that are managed by software applications from different vendors. The Petwin project adopts a data-centric DT architecture in which the Data Management (DM) component is in many regards similar in role and functionality to a Data Lake. In this presentation, we assess to which extent the OSDU data platform can be its core. Our preliminary results are: (i) the analysis of core data management capabilities for creating the DM component in an O&G DT; (ii) initial ideas on the complementary role of OSDU data representation and ontologies for data and knowledge management; (iii) thoughts on how to leverage OSDU for a DT architecture taking into account best practices, reference architectures of scientific literature and those used in common data models for other industries.
